Summary:  The self-length L{E(X)} is the number of strict inclusions of the monoid chain on A{#}{n}(X) for all k ≥ 0. For~all~ m, n ≥ 1, we summarize and determine the self-closeness numbers of S{m} × S{n} and S{m} ∨ S{n}, respectively. Using these, we explicitly determine the self-length of S{m} × S{n} and S{m} ∨ S{n}. The self-lengths of S{m} × S{n} and S{m} ∨ S{n} are either 1 or 2.
