Summary:  The geometry of the universal hyperkähler implosion for SU(n) is explored. In particular, we show that the universal hyperkähler implosion naturally contains a hypertoric variety described in terms of quivers. Furthermore, we discuss a gauge theoretic approach to hyperkähler implosion.
